Each Spring, Thomas Jefferson University Chapter of Sigma Xi organizes Student Research Day. The main focus of this day is poster presentations by undergraduate, graduate and medical students. The poster session offers students the opportunity for winning prizes, catching up on current discoveries in one's field, learning a new area of research, developing good verbal skills and networking. Poster presentations will be judged by TJU scientists and cash prizes will be awarded for best poster in each research category.
This year the Student Research Day will be held on Tuesday April 10, 2018.
The poster session will be followed by the William Potter Lecture given by Dr. Leroy Hood, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Strategic Officer, Co-founder and Professor, Institute for Systems Biology; SVP and Chief Science Officer, Providence St. Joseph Health.
Students and their advisors are cordially invited to the reception at the conclusion of the awards ceremony.
