Merry Christmas Members of the University of Missouri Chapter of Sigma Xi.The University of Missouri Sigma Xi Chapter was chartered in 1905, and for 117 years it has promoted the science and engineering community of MU.
We wish to inform you that the Chapter is planning a renewal meeting at the Heidelberg (410 S 9th Street Columbia, MO) on January 27, 2022, to socialize and help those interested in sharing their work with others, and in honoring their graduate students and young scientists with a nomination to Sigma Xi.
More information will follow after the New Year.
Sigma Xi was founded in 1886 to honor excellence in scientific investigation and encourage a sense of companionship and cooperation among researchers in all fields of science and engineering. The Greek letters "sigma" and "xi" form the acronym of the Society's motto, "Spoudon Xynones," which translates as "Companions in Zealous Research."
