As part of the
JSPG-Sigma Xi call for op-eds and policy position papers
inviting the next generation to consider ways we can re-envision STEM education and workforce development for the 21st Century, this webinar will focus on building equitable and inclusive environments for students of all backgrounds to enter and excel within the STEM workforce, and developing opportunities and mechanisms for undergraduate and graduate students to enter the STEM workforce following their higher education training. Thought leaders in the field will discuss these topics related to COVID-19 pandemic impacts, and design the future of this field from a policy standpoint, taking into account equity and inclusion, access to technology, and aligning training opportunities with workforce demands.
