Sigma Xi Suds and Science: Driving Simulation Laboratory

When:  Nov 1, 2018 from 16:00 to 19:00 (ET)
Associated with  Ohio State University

The next Sigma Xi Suds and Science event will be held on Thursday, November 1st at 4 pm at the Driving Simulation Laboratory (1305 Kinnear Rd, Suite 194 Columbus, OH 43212).

As a reminder, Suds n’ Science is a biannual event where a host research group presents their work and guides a tour of their facilities. The tour group and host laboratory then adjourn to a campus pub for further discussions. These events provide an excellent opportunity to learn more about key research groups on campus and establish interdisciplinary collaborations.

This exciting tour will feature The Ohio State University Driving Simulation Laboratory, which offers a state-of-the-art facility for measuring driver behavior. The facility provides tools for evaluating in-vehicle systems for infotainment and vehicle guidance to ensure conformance with National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) driver distraction guidelines, as well as for investigating attention, stress, cognitive workload and other factors in the driving task.

Following this session, the tour group will then adjourn to a location TBA for further discussion. More information on parking and directions will be distributed closer to the event.

This event is free to attend but space is limited, so please RSVP by email to Bailey Dye (bailey.dye@nationwidechildrens.org) by October 25th. Please contact her with any additional questions you might have.
