Scientific freedom is under pressure. In recent months, decisions with global consequences have affected how science is funded, guided, and communicated. This has triggered censorship, restrictions on data access, and weakened evidence-based policymaking.
The Declaration on defence of science promoted by the SPHERA Consortium has already gathered over 500 signatures from 38 countries. Join the signatories to stand up for science, knowledge and the public good.

Hola a todos,
hace poco más de un mes, y a propuesta mía, los miembros de la Junta Directiva enviamos un artículo a la revista académica Encuentros Multidisciplinares expresando nuestro apoyo a la investigación científica en estos momentos en los que está siendo cuestionada desde diversos frentes. Al mismo tiempo, aprovechamos la ocasión también para presentar el Capítulo Ibérico de Sigma Xi. Podéis encontrar el artículo en el número 79, de enero-abril de 2025. También lo adjunto a este mensaje (espero saber hacerlo) para mayor comodidad vuestra.
Esperamos contar con vuestra aprobación para esta iniciativa, que consideramos se alinea perfectamente con los fines de la sociedad Sigma Xi y de nuestro Capítulo, y os animamos a proponer cualquier otro tipo de actividad que consideréis pueda ser de interés. Es importante que el Capítulo vaya mostrándose en público y llevando a cabo acciones de acuerdo con sus objetivos.
