SLU Sigma Xi is hosting a research ethics and meet-and-greet event on Tuesday, October 26th from 4 – 5:30 pm in Busch Student Center Room 254. Dr. Kimbell Kornu from SLU's Albert Gnaegi Center for Health Care Ethics will be presenting "Dissecting the Patient Body: How Medicine Reduces Patients into Objects". Following Dr. Kornu's talk, members of SLU Sigma Xi will available to talk about Sigma Xi, an international scientific research honor society founded in 1886 to honor excellence and potential in science and engineering research endeavors. The SLU chapter has been in existence since 1944 and we are excited to share information about upcoming events, opportunities to get involved, and membership. All students, faculty, and staff involved in research are invited to attend!
