The Ohio State Chapter of Sigma Xi supports OSU student research through our Grants-in-Aid of Research (GIAR) program to provide direct support of a student’s research project. Applications are encouraged from undergraduate and graduate students in all areas of science of engineering . These short (less than 2 pages) applications from students are judged on the basis of (1) quality of the project narrative, (2) budget justification, and (3) strength and specificity of the faculty sponsor’s letter of support.
